We would be pleased to provide you with Home Support Services. Here is some information you may find useful:
What to Expect
- The Home Support Worker will call before the visits.
- You will be asked to sign a time sheet at each visit.
- The Home Support Worker may ask if you have a special way of doing things. It is very helpful if you can give some direction.
- A Supervisor will visit you to discuss the role of the Home Support Worker, tasks that can be performed and any limitations or precautions that must be followed.
- A Supervisor will phone or visit periodically to ensure that the service is meeting your expectation and service plans are being followed.
You should call your Supervisor if:
- Your Home Support Worker does not come as scheduled.
- You wish to change the day or time of service.
- You wish to discuss the service being provided.
You are not sure what the Home Support Worker can do.
- You are not satisfied with the care being provided.
Please be aware…
The Home Support Worker cannot:
- Do yard work
- Clean outside windows
- Move large appliances or furniture
- Accept money or gifts
- Give their home phone number
- Be responsible for accidental breakages
Cancellations:
In order to avoid any cancellation fees, we require as much notice as possible if a visit needs to be cancelled or rescheduled. Please discuss this with the Agency representative or Supervisor.
Purchasing Additional Service:
If you require information on the purchase of additional service, please call and discuss your needs with one of our Supervisors.
